An image "button"

I would like to create a graphical interface that, when the player clicks on an image, a procedure is executed. It would be like a button, but instead of seeing a button, we could see a picture of a block of grass.

I think that this possibility would create a lot of new possibilities to make mods even better and more original than the others.

I will understand if you answer me that's currently ot possible, but I think that for the 2.X.X version, that will be a very nice feature.
