Hi everyone,
The May 1st, it will be the MCreator’s birthday. It will be 8 years old. There is an old contest created many years ago named, The Mod of the Week. The MOTW is a good contest, but it doesn’t help people to increase their skills and it doesn’t tell you what is good and what it’s not. So, with the help of other Wiki Contributors, I decided to create a contest to improve this. At the end of the contest, we will give points to your modification and write a short text to tell you the positive and negative things about your mod. We encourage everyone to participate because it’s free, and it can only be useful for you.
The contest is supposed to finish in two days (May 29th), but as we only have 2 participation, I decided to give you more time. You have now until Friday, June 12th, 2020 to give us your modification.
Q and A:
Q: How many mod elements my modification needs to have?
A: Your modification needs to have the number of elements to be good.
Q: What are the awards if I win?
A: There won’t be awards like money. I think that know the good and the bad things in your modification is already well. This contest is mainly to have fun and improve your skills with MCreator and modding.
Q: What modification types are allowed?
A: The modification types allowed are Forge mods and Data Packs.
Q: Can I use the Minecraft I want?
A: No, this contest is only for the recent and supported Minecraft version, so the only Minecraft versions allowed are the 1.14.4 and the 1.15.2 (Forge mods too).
Q: How do we participate?
A: To participate in the contest, you only need to make a page on the website for your modification and give the link. You don’t need to write a specific thing in your modification’s name. Then, give the link of your modification here or on the Discord server.
Q: How many modifications are allowed for each person?
A: You can only submit one modification for the contest due to the restricted number of person to judge.
Q: I have already a mod. Is it possible to use it?
A: Sure. The goal of this contest is to help you, so if you have already something you like, you can submit it and improve it during the contest. However, an old modification will get points harder than a new modification.
Q: Can I record a video to show the content of my modification?
A: Yes, you can and you don’t need to speak. It will help us a lot. However, if you want to speak, speak in English or French only.
Q: Can we make a modification with many people?
A: Sure. However, modifications that have been made by one person will have more points.
Q: Can I use plugins in my workspace?
A: Yes, they give you more things to use.
Q: Can I use code elements?
A: You can use your own code, but your modification has to use mainly MCreator.
Q: Some people have already won one or several MOTW with their mod, so I have a disadvantage.
A: No because as I said higher, old mods will get points harder than new mods and it’s the same thing for mods with MOTW.
Q: How many times do we have?
A: The contest begins the April 25th and will finish the June 12h at 23:59 PM GMT-0 (Greenwich).
Q: Can I already begin to work on my modification?
A: Yes, but you can only submit your modification from April 25th. All submissions before the April 25th will be ignored.
Q: What is the theme of the contest?
A: We don’t give a theme because we want your best modification. However, try to give you a theme. Mods adding a new dimension, new blocks, new items without link between them will be rejected.
Q: What is happening to me if my modification is rejected?
A: Your modification will not be checked. Depending of the reason, you won’t be able to participate to the current edition and the next edition (not for all cases).
Q: I finished my modification before the May 29th, can I have my results before?
A: No, we won’t give results before we have finished to check all submissions. However, to help us to go faster, you can write a comment saying you have finished your modification, and we will check it as soon as possible.
Rules:
If a rule isn’t respected, the modification will be rejected. If a website’s rule isn’t respected, the modification will be rejected and the person (or the team) won’t be able to participate to the next edition.
- One modification for each person or group. If you post several modifications, we will take the last.
- Everyone in the group has to be mentioned in the mod’s page.
- Submissions begin the April 25th 0:00AM GMT-0 (Greenwich)

July 5th 2020:
You waited them, and there are finally available! As there is too much things, I created a Google Doc for the results with all mods submitted on this topic or on the Discord server. Thank you to have participated, and I hope you will re-join us for the next edition. We will try to improve and change a little the way we do the contest for the second edition. I don't know when and how it will be, but we will let you know. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IYqJfnR60qJA5mqAQHwi8_va-EL3iKq10Vq…

Nice idea, I am pinning this topic ;)
I am in :D
I hope we will have much more users. Thanks everyone!
Sorry, I’m probably not looking hard enough, but where do I submit my mod? Do I just create a new forum topic and put “MCreator Mod Contest” in the title?
Oh no, you make your mod page as normally, and after you just put the link here or on the Discord server. You don’t need to write MCreator Mod Contest or something else.
Oh, ok, thanks for telling me!
When you say a group of people, do people who help you on the forums (like with procedures) count?
No, it's people working on the mod.
Ok. I'm in!
I'm in it to... possibly win it, but with a higher chance of "what is this bruh?" Anyway, time to come up with ideas.
Interesting.....
I'm in

Unfortunately, I will not be able to participate, since my PC is bad, I have a great mod project, but then, just appreciate the winner! ;-)
