Hello, I wanted to share here my developments of my own energy system.
Before commenting, please read this warning : energy systems already exist with/without MCreator, but every energy system works differently and I'll try as much to not copy existing energy systems. But before this, thanks to Wes for giving me the idea to do it, and I hope you don't mind if I create my own energy system, and of course, it will be quite different from yours...
Now, we can start!
For now, the system is quite basic because I'm working simultaneously on other projects. This topic is going to be updated, but updates aren't going to be on this main message. So if you're coming here like 2 weeks after the beginning of my topic, I suggest you go read the comments to see updates.
Right now, I have created a solar panel of tiers 1 and it can store 1 000 EL (energy levels). Its battery is temporary because It charges on day, only if it has a sky access, and during night, it discharges. As long as it will have EL power, it will also deliver redstone power (so it also works like an advanced vanilla daylight sensors)

Hello, so I am currently making a tech mod that adds all kinds of things like Quantum storage or lava sponge etc. and Im thinking of also doing an Energy System based on NBT, eventually with cables and that stuff. How did you do yours if I can ask? If Im not able to finish it heres my idea. You could add a Biomass powerplant where you can burn biomass items to get Energy. So it needs a heat source or fuel. Things like cake or pumpkin will give more Energy than for example rotten flesh. You can put stuff like seeds, foods, sugarcane, wheat, melon, bonemeal and other things that you could call "Biomass".
Your biomass is a really good idea, but I think Bonemeal really represents biomass. (with the Composter)
And yes, I used NBT tags for my energy system. I don't use cables so I can't help you with that but good luck!
New update!
Today is the day for a new update. It's taking longer because things I want to add take a while to be added so...

- Added Patchouli Books support : a Electronic Tablet that will save datas from Blocks, Items, Machines and inform you about Compressor recipes. (time needed and power requested)
- Added 2 machines : the Teleporter and the XP Generator.
- Added 1 new block : the Compressed Obsidian.
- Added 1 item : the Teleport Saver.
- Added 1 Compressor Recipe (for the Compressed Obsidian)
- Added the EL Converter recipe. (and of course, new block's recipe)
- Modified the EL Converter.
- Modified the GUI of the Compressor and the XP Generator. (more GUI should be modified in the future, it just takes time)

As I said for the last update comment, the Electronic Tablet is added by Patchouli Books. I just changed the name, the item, and soon, the GUI.

I won't release the procedures sorry. However, you'll be able to test Electrona soon! I'll submit it for the MCreator mod constest.

Of course, things aren't well implemented yet, such as languages or GUIs.

Wait.... isn't it a new update?
Yes! First release has finally come! (sorry for the delay...)
This release is kinda special because I found an unexpected bug during the upload so there is a second release called Electrona-r1.0.1 coming to fix this bug.
This release, and the r1.0.1 need the latest version of JEI for 1.14.4 to work because I'm also introducing JEI support for the custom Compressor's recipes!

Mmmh did you energy system use NBT tags ? if so it would be very easy to make it compatible with my mod Indutrial Creator 2 :)
