im trying to create a 1.12.2 mod,but in plugins dont show me the forge generator 1.12.2 (https://mcreator.net/plugin/64513/minecraft-1122-generator)
im trying to add from config, moving to the plugins folder and replacing by a new download, but nothing.
how to add the plugins
Don't use 1.12.2. 1.16.5 and 1.18.2 are better and are actually supported on modding apis, so use them.

Your response does not answer his needs nor suggests a way to resolve his problem.
There are many reasons why he may want to use 1.12.2 as well as he has the freedom to develop what ever.
Save that type of commentary until after the question is addressed at least.
This was already answered many times. 1.12.2 is outdated. Not only in MCreator, but Forge itself. If you want to have updates, you have to switch to a newer version, 1.16.5 or 1.18.2.
The only way to develop 1.12.2 mods is to use an older MCreator version that the generator is compatible.
there are plenty of mods that are in 1.12.2 and that will not change version, so we have to limit this to 1.12.2
moreover, 1.12.2 is 1000x more optimized and easier to develop mods compared to recent versions of minecraft which are failures.
Stop asking people to go to new versions. On the contrary, help them to be able to develop on old versions
Learn java, or use an older MCreator version.
i swear, like a guy is asking a question and you just harras him into changing mc version because you can't cope with people playing 1.12.2
just a reminder hypixel still runs on 1.7 and it's a number 1 server not to mention newer minecraft versions are laggy and unoptimised especially for modded not to mention mods are splitted between fabric and forge
