Topic category: Help with MCreator software
Just a little note. Currently, the description for mob type Illager says the following: "Does not seem to have any effect." However, after a bit of research, it has three (unimportant) things.
1. Vindicators named "Johnny" won't attack it. If you ever name a vindicator "Johnny," it goes beserk and attacks all non-illager mobs (as a reference to The Shining).
2. They can't be damaged by evoker fangs (those chompy things summoned by evokers that come out of the ground, bite you, and go away).
3. If a pillager or illusioner accidentally attacks it, it won't fight back. Most mobs, when attacked by other mobs, will start to "duel" (you've probably seen skeletons do this). However, illagers will never purposely attack each other or duel.
Honestly, these will probably have no effect on your mods, but it's just what the mob type does, because why not. Thanks for reading!
(The forum selection is probably wrong, sorry).
I think the illager type is mostly used to determine if a mob joins an active raid (like witches in vanilla).
No, there's no way to get custom mobs to spawn in raids with MCreator. Zombies, skeletons, witches, and other stuff can spawn in raids, but they aren't illagers (zombies and skeletons are undead, and witches aren't anything).
It might affect if they follow a raid captain though.
