Can you please describe your problem a bit more? Your text is not really helpful to give you a solution. The animation of mobs is how they move. If you choose for AI to wander, they couldn't because you didn't choose the bodyparts for the legs.

--> Choose bodyparts for legs = they can move their legs

--> Choose bodyparts for arms = they can move their arms

--> Choose the bodypart for the head = they can move their heads

@#1 And if you want to save your stuff, just export it as mcr file and import it the next time you'll open MCreator.

Multiple things:
Sun, 02/05/2017 - 17:27

Multiple things:

1-Any reason why you singled me out in your first comment? (for curiosity's sake)

2-what do need help with exactly (please list and explain what is giving you trouble)

3- how do you want the teleporters to work?

4- What "other stuff" did you want to add

5- What do you mean by "what the heck is the animation" Do you mean animate blocks or mob animations, or something else.

I will try to help you as much as I can.

@#5 wait what? mod contest?! how do I enter? Where do I enter? When did this start? Please tell me everything you know about it, and I also know that you should download techne, as it is already able to be downloaded straight from MCreator. Once you do that, just build the models, export them twice, once as a .java, and once as a techne model. Then drop the techne model into your folder for MCskin3D, texture it, and then go back to MCreator. When in MCreator, create a mob, select the texture from MCskin3D and import your .java file. While importing your .java file, select the parts that are needing an animation in MCreators built in animating function. Then choose the egg color and move to the next page. Here, name the mob, make it agressive or passive, set the attack strength, set the speed, set what it is holding, set the health, set the if it is fire resistant, set the optional drops, set the expirience amount, and set the sound. Then move to the next page. Then move to the page after that. Select if you want it to be a boss. Move down to the tasks. In the tasks, give it the task of acting aggresively to the player(be sure to select player), the task of attacking on colision(choose player again), the task of wandering, the task of looking around, the task of swiming, and anything else. Then move to the next page. Select its spawn probability and the number of mobs it spawns in (I suggest low numbers for all of those). Finaly you are finished. I hope this helps.

For mobs, you just have to

For mobs, you just have to make them in Techne, then save your model as a .tcn (to edit it later if need be) and .java (which you use in Mcreator for the custom model). To get them to animate correctly, I can't really say. Rotationanl movement of parts of the model is supposed to be along the blue ball on each piece of the techne model, but I would'nt bother with it. It never works right for me, and your model still animates correctly. (I would not try to make winged mobs though, because I dont know how to get the wings to flap.

Basic Techne know-how:
hold right click and drag to move perspective

new blocks for the model always start at 0 0 0 and are 1x1x1

Each increment in size of the blocks of the model is 1 pixel of texture.

Unless you want the model to float, set its "feet" to the wood block on screen

Each part of the texture map can be adjusted with texture offset. Parts should not overlap each other unless you want them to share the same portion of texture (ex. legs and arms)

don't do anything with offset. It is supposed to be for rotation-related stuff, but it does'nt work for me.

you can export as texturemap to get the texturemap, which can be used as a template frame for your textures.

The folder for your model has to called ModelWhatever

All componants of the model must be inside the folder

No two componants can have the same name (ex. You cant have two different parts called "ear" you have to do "LeftEar/RightEar or Ear1/Ear2)

You can use premade models of some vanilola mobs, but the enderman model is buggy

You can't animate multiple componants together (like minecraft wolves' heads: the ears and snout will not animate with the head.)
For pipe teleporters, I would say that you should make them redstone-activated or on right-clicked event based, and either have them teleport the player a certain number of blocks away using an event, or make a command block-like GUI that lets you input coordinates and runs the command

/tp @p X Y Z

Where X Y and Z are the coordinates of the position you want to go to. I have not experimented with teleportation, redstone blocks, or GUIs so you would have to get someone else's help or figure it out yourself.
