Hello.
I want to add a 3d model to the mod.
I use in my case, I only 3ds max. This is due to the quality of models, and the speed of creation. For the test, I made the usual square block.
However, when I load this OBJ model into the mod, it is displayed in the game without a texture. In 3Ds max I loaded the texture, and use the max for a long time to prevent errors from the editor. Tried to use different methods. However, the texture remains white.
Apparently the problem lies in the export. Can you help someone who understands and is a success?
Other programs don't interest me at the moment.
Minecraft has very basic support for the textures and materials. 1.8.3 will improve this a bit though. More info and limitations: https://mcreator.net/wiki/custom-obj-models-blocks-and-items
This is very regrettable. It is a pity that the .2 version is now available.
Is it possible then to port the mod to new versions of the mcreator?

Yes. Just export your workspace to .mcr file and import it back in MCreator 1.8.3.
