Kind of a weird topic but I've noticed that a lot of modders and members of the modding community harbor some kind of bizarre hatred toward mcreator mods. I've asked people to describe exactly why but I haven't gotten more than one answer that isn't based on ignorance or elitism. I've had numerous exchanges with people on discord about it and the amount of vitriol generated by something so petty seems to be extreme; people get emotional, almost angry, that you won't agree with them that it's bad. It's just a game!
The one logical response that I've gotten (which was like pulling teeth to get) was that mcreators license allows its owner to "own" whatever modders make with it, and that this is both a War Crime and a contradiction of the prevailing attitudes in the modding community. Personally, I honestly don't care who "owns" my assets because they are worth nothing and generate zero income, but I also know that people can be extremely irrational about who "owns" things in our society, regardless of the actual value or effect of owning it.
The other common response, which I actually find hilarious, is that people should just "learn to code". There are so many arguments about why that statement is laughably absurd that I won't bother to list them all, but suffice to say the best response is probably along the lines of "OK coder".
Anyway, I'm curious about other peoples experience with this and just want to see if anyone else has encountered the same unusual prejudice.
