Do you want chickens that look like real-life chickens? Want more than just one color of chicken? Well, my fellow chicken lovers, this may be the mod for you!
This mod adds a spawn egg for a chicken with a realistic model, plus eleven (11) breeds and corresponding feathers and eggs. Each feather and egg can be used in place of vanilla feathers and eggs for most recipes.
The breeds include:
- Jungle Fowl (Wild)
- Ameraucana
- Australorp
- Ayam Cemani
- Brahma
- Leghorn
- Orpington
- Rock (Plymouth/Barred)
- Silkie
- Wyandotte (Golden-Laced)
- Yokohama
NOTE: There are limitations to this mod. Each model is only of a rooster, no hens. The eggs can't be thrown, so you can't bully mobs or spawn chicks from them. You can't use the modded feathers for firework stars, as the sheer amount of permutations requires a lot of work. Finally, the eggs might not be laid properly.
If you have suggestions, ideas, criticisms, or something isn't working right (especially the eggs), let me know. I will work on the egg-laying mechanic if it doesn't work, and if I get enough motivation, I'll update it to compensate for the shortcomings.
