With each item, there's a recipe to it.

Any Anvil + Wheat = Ground Wheat

Paper + Brown Dye + Water Bucket = Cardboard

4 Cardboard + 2 Slimeballs + 2 Paper + 1 Ground Wheat = Cereal Box

Cereal Box + Milk Bucket + Bowl = Cereal
