MCreator 2022.3 - Minecraft 1.19.x support

MCreator 2022.3 release is here. This update adds full support for Minecraft 1.19.x for all supported modding frameworks and also adds some other new features. Read on!

Minecraft 1.19.x

The biggest change in this release is full and official Minecraft 1.19.x support for Java and Bedrock edition. With this version, you can make Minecraft 1.19.2 Forge mods, and add-ons, and of course data packs for Minecraft 1.19.x.

New texture selectors

While this update was mostly focused on Minecraft 1.19.x support, we did not forget to add some new features too. One of them is new texture selectors of particle, potion effect, and painting mod elements. Those texture selectors are similar to the ones of blocks and items so the texture selection is easier.

Exclusions for enchantments

Another bigger new feature in this update is option to define whether include or exclude the list of items and/or enchantments that custom enchantment mod element can be combined with or applied to.

Release notes

  • Due to a bug in Minecraft Forge, execute command as entity procedure block with a player as the entity will not work with Forge versions before 43.1.3 if the player does not have cheats enabled
  • Dropped support for biome categories and biome dictionary. This system is replaced by biome tags that need to be manually migrated. Procedures using biome dictionary checks will be converted to biome tag checks automatically.
  • When a procedure without a return value of action result type is called on the item right-clicked trigger, SUCCESS result is now returned instead of PASS

Thanks to contributors

I would like to thank all the contributors on GitHub, especially SomeoneElse and Goldorion for their hard work in making this update and Minecraft 1.19 support possible. Also big thanks to Matej for drawing all the new block and item icons. Updating to a new Minecraft version is quite a tedious task with a lot of repetitive work, so I deeply appreciate all the work they put into making this possible.

Tell us what you think about the update in the comments! We are already looking forward to all the mods being updated to Minecraft 1.19.2 :) If you like what we do, consider donating to help us keep this project up.

I have one more question, what do I have to set in the biome tag so that my biomes work?

Nice work guys! I have a question though, so hereby the 'long term' 1.16.5 support is dropped?

Good work guys! I'm still kinda new but I look forward to what comes in the future for MCreator.
