Green River Paleontology

Welcome to the Green River Fossil Beds!

The Green River Formation is an Eocene geologic formation that records the sedimentation in a group of intermountain lakes in three basins along the present-day Green River in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.

To travel to the Green River Formation, you need to craft 2 expedition tables, one to get there and one to get back to the overworld. The new metal building material, simply named 'alloy' is made by combining 1 piece of raw iron and 1 piece of raw copper in a crafting table, than smelting that combined material. Once you place your first expedition table, simply right click with an empty hand and you will be transported to the new Green River Formation world.

Once you reach the Green River formation you will quickly find that it is full of fossils. As of now, you can find 44 types of fossil plants and animals including palms, flowers, crocodiles, bats, fish, lizards, parrots, and more. A paleontologist needs to be prepared though, there is equipment for both lab and field work available for you to craft.
