using tags for vanilla recipes

using tags for vanilla recipes

I have made a mod that adds 2 trees to the game.
obviously wood is used all over the place in Minecraft, and it would take 5 ever to make all the recipes.
I knew with oreDictionary you could give your block plankWood, and all the wood recipes would now work with it.
I could craft sticks and beds and everything just fine.
but with the new tags, this doesn't seem to work at all regardless of me selecting forge, or Minecraft, or block, or item, any help?

yes.

you choose minecraft for vanilla tags for vanilla properties, mod for grouping stuff in your mod, and forge for shared tags with other mods.

the vanilla tag for planks is 

planks

and the vanilla tag for logs is

logs

Like Stick
Stick is in minecraft, but it has only one variants so it doesnt has tags, but in some mods add their own sticks and its in tags with vanilla stick i dont remenber tags were used in modded ones for stick
