To make a customized item just follow the above steps and when clicking "Use" choose item instead

Making a new armor texture

Making a new armor texture is a bit different. You can either just load your own texture file or use the MCreator's armor texture editor.  To do that, instead of click on the button to make a block or am item texture, click on "Create new armor texture".

Making a new animated texture

  • Run MCreator
  • Click on the "Resources" tab at the left of the screen
  • Click "Add Texture" at the top and "Create new Animated texture"
  • Import your different textures or use a template.
  • Then, choose the number of tick the animation takes to show all textures.
  • When you're done, save your animated texture and name it.
  • You’re done!

Making a new TX block texture

NOTE: This part is for legacy reasons only.

TX Blocks use ready made textures from the texture files. For example, a wooden fence uses the textures from a wooden plank. A stone button uses the texture from Stone and etc. So you can either use a ready made vanilla texture or have a go at making your own texture. It's best to use a program like GIMP for this not paint. First of all, take a look at this link for some more info on how TX blocks use these textures. Basically, to create the texture for it, you need to create your own texture and make sure the main parts you want for the fence are in the right spots. Or you can just make it completely identical.
