I'm attempting to make a scorpion for a mod and I can't get the legs to work. I tried Z and Y axis, and the results: Z axis made the legs float above the ground, parallel to it, and Y axis made them all bunch together at the front.

I think just rotate them
Just rotate them? What does that mean? Constant Y axis rotation? consant Z axis rotation? What?
Did you set the pivot points while you were editing the 3D model? if not then this is the problem, if you are using blockbench i can help if you arent then i cant, so what you do (if you used blockbench) go back into your model in blockbench and use the pivot tool and what your going to do with that is move the pivot points of all different legs to where they are attached to the body then you can edit the animations.
then you can edit the animations in MCreator*
Yeah I use blockbench, but going into an old model sets it to custom model, which can sometimes be a hindrance. Thanks for your help supermj.
What is the animation type that will make it work?
I haven't tried supermj's idea, so, I don't know.
how do I animate my mobs?? I want a vulture to have a flying animation instead of floating while standing animation XD show me plss
