Now ported to 1.18! 

 

Simple mod that turns the compass crafting recipe into a GPS, which gives players the option to spend XP levels to use the /locate command for various structures. The number of XP levels varies depending on the structure and are shown in parenthesis next to it. 

 

The vanilla compass can be obtained by putting the GPS in a crafting table, if you so need it.
