MCreator is a big success in Minecraft's modding community. During the last 5 years of its existence, MCreator has changed a lot, ranging from adding various mod types and options to improve them by adding events, custom drops, emitting particles, shooting arrows and much more. As the MCreator developed, there have been many changes that changed the way MCreator worked and the way you interacted with it. Many of the things were inspired by you, the community.
Last month, we updated the website, the new home of MCreator and we did that for a reason. With that done, we are happy to announce you the plans for MCreator 2. It will come with a whole new user interface and fix many bugs that came with the current version. This version doesn't exist yet, so we want to give you the word, by allowing you to shape the new MCreator in the way you would like it to be.
This forum topic is for you to discuss developer's ideas and suggestions for the new MCreator 2. We are going to be taking the ideas on other forum topics and let you discuss them.
Notice: MCreator 2 is just a concept at this moment. There is no release date yet, nor release date timeframe.
Here Are My Suggestions:
-Bring Back TX Blocks It Was Great
-Fix JSON and Models Because It Doesn't Select The Correct Blocks There is So Many Bugs About Importing Models
-New Design of MCreator That Would Be Great :)
-More Advanced Options of Any Thing You Make Like Item or Block or Anything Like That
My Dream Wish Suggestion:
-Multiple Version Support eg. (Exporting a Mod in 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 and 1.10.2)
-Work With Other Mods eg. (Taking Pam's Harvestcraft mod items to make recipes and items with their's that would be epic!)
My list of wanted features would be use of Blender Models For Entitys
I've made an low poly model and different animations and custom textures for it for an mod i'm making but my issue is successfully implimenting it.
Iv'e seen that the creators of Pixelmon have been able to achive this but, there's no information on how to do it yourself anywhere online... ( They made an hi poly creature with and walk, run, and attack animation)
I would love to learn how to do this myself but, there's no information online for doing it.
Other than that i would love an more controlled item drop system for blocks and mobs ( I could have different items assigned for them to drop with their own raritys. Not just 2 different items.

Now, as for MCreator 2, I'm sure many of the ideas on my list have already been mentioned, but I feel if enough people mention a feature, it proves the feature is needed:

I would like to see hostile mobs work, as currently they can't attack unless you
a. Give them ranged attacks
b. Give them certain mob's AI, which causes them to be named after that mob and drop that mob's drops.
Full Screen
Ability to make loot tables for vanilla mobs
Easier way to make Slabs / Stairs
The ability to make tools work in bigger squares ie 3x3 mining
Skin Editor in the client
Model Editor in the client
These are really all i wish was in the client.
Could a multi biome dimension be possible if it is it would be really cool and if it already is possible could somebody tell me how
in any case you guys are doing a great job with MCreator so i'm shure MCreator 2 will be great
To Sir_cookie98 Hostile Mobs do work, you just have to give them the act aggressively against task and the attack on collide task.
And to Leito190502 I'm pretty sure you just have to click the Add Biome button and select another biome and both will spawn.

As for ideas for MCreator 2:
1) as many others have asked for, a working editable GUI that doesn't require lots of code, RF compatibility would be nice but not essential
2) having blocks face the way that the player places them, not always facing north
Have the UI more function, fix the wiki (when you change or add something to mcreator, immediately add it to wiki), the ? should work instead of sending you to a blank page (have it inline instead). Don't release updates if they are buggy, or release a pre-release to the public first, and get feedback on the bugs. Better asset management. No less features than #1. Besides for that... I am excited :)
This has been said on the forums before, but I think it'd be really cool for custom potion effects, and the ability to have custom potions in general. I can't stress the first one enough, though. I know it'd be a very difficult thing to do, but the modding possibilities would be amazing, and there would be much more unique mods out there. Please do consider this idea (if you haven't already). Thank you.
Among that, I also think a cool feature would be to have the option of spawning blocks in the sky, like having solid cloud blocks that naturally spawn.
