Hardness Value (All you need to know)

For those who pressed the "hardness' question-mark when creating a block mod element:

The hardness value determines how long it takes for block to be broken. (How long it takes to be mined/cut with an axe when using the appropriate determined tool)

Obsidian for example has a high hardness value where as something like sand has a low hardness value.

Here are some of the hardness values from in-game:

Obsidian = 50

Enderchest = 22.5

Hardened Glass = 10

Diamond/Iron/Emerald/Coal Block = 5

Web = 4

Furnace = 3.5

Diamond/Iron/Emerald/Coal Ore = 3

Chest = 2.5

Cobblestone = 2

Woodplanks = 2

Wood = 2

Stone = 1.5

Melon = 1

Gravel = 0.6

Grassblock = 0.6

Sand = 0.5

Glass = 0.3

Leaves = 0.2

Snow = 0.1

Grass = 0

Bedrock = -1
