The closest to a moon exploration mod I could make, Moon Explorers allows you to travel to the Moon and back, with its own moon blocks that has all sorts of uses!

Armor items currently have missing textures, but it's still functional.

Just get the galacticraft mod to go to the moon and more.

Please tell me if you know a way the mod can be improved(or how to fix the armor texture glitch), I'll really appreciate it!

The armor glitch is part of mcreators coding and i don't think there is a easy way to fix it. If i can fix it i will tell you how if i can.

Also a smoother moon texture would make it a less repetitive pattern and a space suit would be cool

Moon dungeon? Moon bases? Moon ores? More moon decorative blocks?

did you make the armor texture as a normal texture if so make it with the armor texture option in tools
