HOW MY MOD WORKS!
-Everything is random!
-You must obtain a loot chest by killing mobs. You have a 15% chance of receiving a loot chest.
-Right click the loot chest to open it! You will receive random "vanilla" loot!
-You will not always receive an item, but have a high chance of getting something!
-There are different tiers of loot, each color coded to show rarity. Higher tiers reward better loot.
-Loot tiers from highest to lowest go: EXOTIC (yellow), LEGENDARY (purple), RARE (blue) UNCOMMON (green), COMMON (white)
WHAT CAN YOU GET FROM A LOOT CHEST?
-Can't tell ya! You will just have to find out! All loot is from vanilla minecraft.

How did you code it so that mobs drop your loot chests?
I went back to 1.8.0. The trigger "when entity is killed" still worked as though the event happened to the player. I can't replicate this in 1.8.1 at the moment but 1.8.0 will still work as I need it to.
I may mess around with the actual code and figure out where the differences are and change the code to work with 1.8.1 until an update comes around with a trigger that works. So I am going back in between 1.8.0 and 1.8.1 for a few different mods of mine.
In the procedure, inside function onEntityAttacked, replace this line:
and the trigger will work as it used in 1.8.0.
Wow! This absolutely 100% works! Now I can update this mod to 1.8.1 and continue my next mod with this bit of code! Thank you! This made my day!
You should add different types of loot chests that have higher chances of giving different loot.
Cool idea, I will look into this.
Also, I recommend that you replace the 'add item to inventory' block in your procedures with 'spawn gem' because this drops an item rather than adding it to your inventory. This means you still get all the loot even if your inventory is full.
