Note: this mod is a work in progress. Please report any suspected bugs.

I love retro FPS games. So I thought, "what if someone did a Minecraft mod with knockoffs of things from them as mobs, dimensions etc., but also some from recent ones?" So I did that.

For those who want to see certain features early, check out the snapshots, and please report any bugs found in them so the next version can be the best it can!

A list of concept-sources can be found here, with links to various wiki pages.

Roadmap thing:
Alpha: terrible first release
Beta 1: actual content
Beta 2: Borderworld stuff
Beta 3: Inferno stuff
Beta 4: Outer Dimension
1.0: Full release
potential alternate Geckolib-compatible version (if I can be bothered to convert and animate all the models)

Known issues:

  • Healing Water doesn't heal (will be fixed in Beta 2)
  • The Technodemon's texture has a stray pixel next to the mouth (will be fixed in Beta 2)

Changelog

Beta 1

  • New stuff
    • Mobs
      • The Inferno
        • Technodemon (large boss with an explosive ranged attack; 40 health, immune to explosions; drops 75 xp)
        • Soulscream (small, weak enemy spawned by Soul Summoners; 5 health; drops a Skull and 2 xp)
    • Blocks
      • Borderworld
        • Block of Xenium
        • Xenium Crystals

        • Artificial Xenium (portal-activator for the Borderworld; crafted from an Amethyst Shard and an Eye of Ender)
    • Dimensions
      • N/A
    • Biomes
      • Inferno
        • City Ruins; they have nothing in them, and I only added them to fix a bug with Beholders spawning in the wrong biomes
      • Borderworld
        • Alien Factory; also has nothing in it yet, but it's setup for the next beta, which will mostly be Borderworld stuff
        • Mindbug Hive; see above
    • Legendary Weapons
      • N/A
  • Changes
    • Gave Soul Summoners proper AI
    • Added a portal for the Borderworld (Glowstone frame, Synthetic Xenium Crystal to activate)
    • Redid the Borderworld Ground textures
    • Removed the "glass" from the Beholder textures because it looked bad
    • Changed the Soul Summoner's hand-glow from orange to cyan, and fixed a couple of minor texture errors (specifically the hand-glow not covering the bottom of the arms, and the bottom of the shoulders having part of the texture-guide exposed)
    • Fixed the Beholders' hitboxes being too tall

Beta 2

    • Biomes
      • The Borderworld
        • Occupied Zone
        • Borderstone Wastes

  • Changes
    • Removed a stray pixel from near the Technodemon's mouth
    • Fixed Healing Water not working (thanks to trilian42 for pointing that out)
    • Actually fixed the Borderworld ground textures
    • Removed an unused texture left over from an earlier unreleased version of the mod
    • Xenium and Cyan Xenium can now be used as Beacon bases
    • Fixed the Borderworld using Elder Stone as the filler block instead of Borderstone
    • Fully implemented the other two Borderworld biomes.
    • Added various mobs to their respective biome's inventory categories, and created new categories for Borderworld mobs and bosses.

Standing in healing water gives you the regeneration effect for 0 seconds. However, it does not actually heal you. Maybe increase the duration?
