The Sonic Screwdriver Mod (1.12.2)

Happy Almost-Halloween everyone!

This small mod adds the sonic screwdriver from the BBC TV Series, Doctor Who. It also adds Candy Canes (YUM!).

Unfortunately, There's not much technology in Minecraft, so their functionality is somewhat limited (The screwdrivers, not the candy canes - Those are delicious).

It has been a long time since I updated this mod.

In fact, according to time-stamp from the previous mod image, the last update was Two Years Ago - That's a long time. There are no bow-ties or fezes in this version (Sorry!). There are, however, new textures!

New textures (Left) next to old textures (Right).

 

So far, there are only seven screwdrivers and six abilities.

Screwdrivers:

11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver
10th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver
11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver (Classic)
10th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver (Classic)
Rainbow Sonic Screwdriver
Locked Sonic Screwdriver
River's Sonic screwdriver

 

Current Abilities:

Send a signal along a Redstone wire.
Set off TNT.
Open Iron Doors (And Trapdoors).
Trigger Dispensers/Droppers.
Rotate Blocks (Must be sneaking).
Toggle Lit Pumpkins (For Halloween, of course).

hey I'm making a doctor who mod and I would like to know how you coded the sonics to open and close doors and ignite TNT if you could tell me that will save me so much time

I know I'm late, but it maybe helps others as well.
I added a procedure on the item, that checks if nearby blocks are air replaces them with an invisible block, which emits a Redstone signal for 30 ticks and then replaces itself with air. For that procedure, I used the non-coding version, I set the tick rate of the block to 1 and the procedure was
1. Repeat 30 times:
do Set Redstone power logistic state True
2. Remove block x y z
Note: It will only work with Doors, Trapdoors and TNT and the doors will aswell stay open.
If you want to light up pumpkins, you could add a procedure which checks the right-clicked block (make sure to use
the "Block = Block" and not the "Block==Block" piece so it doesn't care about the rotation) but note, that the new
block won't have the same rotation.

when i make new events for an item, there's a missing action: activate redstone/redstone signal (i don't remember). All blocks have that action but not items. How do you make an item that works like a button? Have you coded?

Cool but how exactly did you make it activate doors and the redstone signal stuff?! i am makigna mod with similar item but i dotn know how!pls gte back to me as soon as possible
