About CCTVCraft
CCTVCraft 5 is a Minecraft mod that adds viewable cameras and other security devices to the game. While the mod focuses on enhancing in-game security, it also introduces tools and mechanics to bypass or counter those defences—creating a balanced and dynamic security system.
Features
- Monitors with apps
- Cameras that can be viewed remotely.
- Offensive and defensive devices and items.
- Support for the common namespace eg c:dyes/red
- Crafting Resources
- Pinlocks
- Secure Doors, Hatches and Safes
- Lockpicking
- And more to come!
Upcoming Features:
I post regular updates about development on my Discord discussion page for CCTVCraft 5.
The Farming Update (5.2.0)
- NeoForge 1.21.4
- And more features to come!

Huge thanks to the following people for their contributions to the mod!

Older Versions
CCTVCraft 4 has officially been discontinued. Unfortunately, changes made by Mojang—specifically the removal of material types—caused major issues that broke the mod. Due to a large and busy MCreator workspace, it became too difficult to locate and fix all the broken parts within the source code.
But it’s not the end—CCTVCraft 5 is now in development! This new version will rebuild and improve upon existing features, and will be the main version going forward. Stay tuned for more updates as development continues!
We recommend making a new world when migrating to CCTVCraft 5 from CCTVCraft 4.

I can't guarantee stable updates on the older versions. Not many people report issues on GitHub so I don't find all of them until later in development when I find them I fix things but for 1.16.5 I don't even have a way to roll back to that mod to fix anything. Also developing for more than two versions is hard enough supporting 1.16.5 or 1.12.2 would be a nightmare.
I don't use NBT, I use player persistent variables. NBT reset if the player dies or goes to another dimension, it may also reset if they go into spectator (possibly) because the entity model would technically not be there possibly so using global variables should work better. Regarding cameras, you need a tone of variables to store many aspects of things such as game mode, rotation, position, monitor location etc. there are more variables than I can count that went into this mod its really a pain to go through but its not something easy to develop mod wise.
Hey, I'm in 1.16.5 and noticed a problem, I can turn cameras on and off and use a floppy disc on them, but I can't put them on the monitor, I think it's on because when I right-click on it with nothing in my hand it works I just can't connect things to it, I right-click on it with the floppy discs that I have connected to a camera but all that pops up is something like: "To use this, right-click on a camera or monitor block" even though I am. Also. whenever I try to view cameras even though I have no cams connected it removes all the items in my inventory.
