Thanks :)
Big news!
First, do you want to play with me and sir cookie the aether? I bought server.
Love the Hodge Podge Update.
And my new mod I added palm trees etc., tomorrow I post pictures in my forum shape of world
I'm glad you like the update :)
Thank you for inviting me to your server, but I don't think I have enough time to play on multiplayer, I'm sorry :(
ok :(
Another Hodge-Podge III update is coming!
Yes, now that RaolCraft is in beta and MCreator mods have less incompatibilities, the updates for this mod will be more frequent. They will be little but numerous updates, just like the old times of RaolCraft :)
Anyway, the next update will add the Collector, Barrels for all the woods (they didn't get added in the last update, but they will in this one), maybe a new potion effect and maybe even a new boss, the Tainted Knight.
The Collector is a friendly Dark Elf found in a hut in a DarkWorld who collects ancient rarities. You can give him precious but useless items found in dungeons and he'll give you some rewards.
If you have no rarities in your hand, he might give you a tip on where to find some. You'll know you have found one by the description of the item.
I was thinking of a crossover feature between RaolCraft and Hodge-Podge. Maybe after doing many trades with the Collector he will trust you and say he hidden a reward somewhere in Raolcraft...
This means in the same day when the next Hodge-Podge update will be released, there might also be a little RaolCraft patch which fixes some bugs and adds this feature! :D
Let's just hope global map variables can be accessed by different mods...
You can suggest a structure where a rare (and useless) item that can be given to a Collector can be found!
At the moment here are some of the structures that I plan to add (I will add just some of them in the next update):
I think I will add 5 rarities in this update. I will try to add at least one new rarity in each major update.
I am back! After more than a week without touching the computer, I am back!
The Hodge-Podge update will be released soon this week! (I'm sorry it was postponed)
The update is finally here!
Here's a summary of what does it add:
Now just wait for the Pyromancy and Modular Expansion updates! :)
Wait... Is there a guide?
Right now there is no guide (but there will be one soon, probably after the Pyromancy and Modular Expansion updates).
This isn't a huge mod so for the moment you could read the getting started section in the mod page and then follow the advancements, they should guide you through everything. Or you could talk to the Collector (once you found it in the DarkWorld), since he gives you hints on what to do next.
I will soon release a patch for Hodge-Podge III because:
Thisppatch might be released tomorrow (today I can't). Remember that after the RaolCraft update the Hodge-Podge age will begin :)
I'm sorry that I've been a bit inactive recently but I've been very busy :(
Anyway, before the RaolCraft update, I will release a Hodge Podge patch that will add ore and biome dictionary support to everything, change map colors for every block, fix many bugs and do a few tweaks.
Hopefully it will be released this week (maybe even tomorrow)
Anyway, since I don't like to release updates that add no actual features, a new block is coming: the Arcane Bricks!
These bricks, crafted with 8 stone bricks and 1 Star dust don't consume when placed, can be destroyed very easily and don't drop when broken. Kinda like creative mode.
Can be useful to build when lacking materials or can also be used strategically to block opponents (especially mobs) by building quick walls while not consuming resources
Update released!
From the changelog:
This means you will be able to make custom addons for Hodge-podge or a crossover feature!
This means Raolcraft might get some crossover features with hodge-podge in the future too (it actually already has some kind of special compatibility thanks to a nbt tag, but still no recipe compatibility)
(And this also means you can finally use hodge-podge wood and silver for every recipe from vanilla and other mods that require them)
