NOTE: This mod still has some bugs, most noteably:
Portals will spawn Zombie Pigmen at an astounding rate. They WILL overrun the area in a matter of seconds. I would advise trapping your portals with a pitfall.
If you die in a dimension and try to go back after you respawn, the game will crash and the save will get corrupted. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS
In survival mode, entering/exiting a portal will sometimes spawn you above or below the portal, optentially suffocating you. I don't know why this is or how to fix it.
This mod is essentially the same as my original Hodge-Podge mod, but the sheer amount of revamp I did to it makes it worthy of its own page now (Kind of like RaolCraft)
In total, there are now over 300 elements, including 141 new blocks, 4 new fluids, 8 new types of armor, 8 dimensions, 110 items, and 53 new mobs.
While the primary goal of this mod is to introduce a myriad of blocks from pocket edition, newer versions of minecraft (that frankly, should have been in the game updates ago), and mostly my imagination, the structure of the mod has been redesigned to add more of an adventurous aspect. With more new bosses and another dimesion since the last version, as well as many new mobs, a progression system has been implemented. Now, in order to reach the other dimensions, staffs must be built using resources from the other dimensions you've gone to. These staffs will summon the next boss, but only when used in a certain dimension. Killing the boss rewards you with items, XP, and the igniter to the next dimension.
The main bosses are fought in this order: Smoldering Knight>>Tainted Knight>>Sentry of the Great Tree>>Greatwood Borer>>Ender
In addition to the new bosses and mobs, there are now seven full sets of armor, plus two pieces of modified insect armor, which when worn allow you to fly and land without taking fall damage. Tools (not hoes) can now be made with redstone crystals, and a new reddish-purple material called tyrianite.
The newest blocks, mobs and items:
Concrete bricks (dyed)- All of the vanilla concrete can be crafted into concrete bricks of the same color in the same way as most stone types
Reality Shatter- A bomb that breaks the borders of reality, ripping open an 3x3 end portal around it. It is crafted with a reality sever, end stone, a block of ender pearl, a block of blaze powder, and shadow crystal orbs. It can be detonated by using a flint and steel on it.
Woven sticks- A decorative block made by crafting together 4 sticks. It can be crafted back into sticks.
Block of leather- Used as a compact storage of leather. Can be crafted back into 9 leather
Heavy Brewer- Advanced brewing stand-type item that stays in the crafting grid and allows the crafting of potion buckets. It is made with end stone, blaze rod planks, and unobtainium nuggets
Bucket of Awkward potion- Used as the basis for most potion buckets; cannot be placed into the world as a fluid itself. Crafted with a water bucket, nether wart block, and heavy brewer.
Potion buckets- Used to place liquid potion. Crafted with heavy brewer, block of the same ingredient used to make normal potions, and awkward potion bucket unless otherwise noted. (see below)
- Speed- block of sugar
- Slowness- fermented spider eye + bucket of potion of speed
- Strength- block of blaze powder
- Healing- golden melon block
- Harming- fermented spider eye + bucket of potion of healing
- Regeneration- ghast tear block
- Fire resistance- magma cream block
- Invisibility- fermented spider eye + bucket of potion of night vision
- Night vision- huge golden carrot
- Blindness- necrotic flesh block
- Hunger- rotten flesh block
- Weakness- fermented spider eye + bucket of potion of strength
- Poison- spider eye block
- Wither- wither bone block
- Resistance- fermented spider eye + bucket of potion of fire resistance.
Chorus Juice- A purple liquid extracted from chorus plants. It flows upwards and pulls you up with it.
Liquid Potions- Most of the standard potions can be brewed into buckets. falling into the potion will apply the effect for as long as you are in it.
Changes since Hodge-Podge II last version:
Wilts, Plasts, and Humans now only spawn in the overworld (Finally!)
Grimstone gravel can be smelted into obsidian or crafted into grimstone
Concrete was removed due to it now being a vanilla feature
Concrete bricks have been renamed, and the recipe is different.
Stick bundles and blocks of arrows can be reverted to their ingredients.
encased greatwood is now crafted with 9 greatwood and can be converted back as well.
Hordereaper enchantments have been changed.
enchanted shields can now be crafted with materials from the great tree
saddles and horse armor can now be crafted
woven sticks can be used as fuel
Knowledge crystals don't generate int he degraded wastes anymore- I will try to fix this.
Planned Features (assuming I can actually get them to work correctly):
NOTE: If you know how to do these or would like to help make them, write a comment! I will gladly accept help, since I have never been able to get these to work right.
-More functioning generated structures to the world, including: Crystal Clusters, glowing obsidian spikes, wanderer houses, and temples
-Get the nether reactor core to work like it did in pocket edition
-Make the Foodworld biomes have "trees", but not have to have dirt as the underground block.
-Possibly mobs for the Foodworld.
-Possibly a boss for The Cold
-Probably Taint-specific mobs
-A second set of dimension specific bosses, far stronger than the rest and costly to summon
More information can be read in the progression walkthrough, which is found in the zip folder download.
Most recipes are (in my mind) pretty easy to figure out. I would still suggest using Just Enough Items though.
